This telephone interview was recorded in 1999 at the Alexander Hotel in Molde, Norway.
The second interview was in 2002 when Pat was guesting at the Molde International Jazz Festival. At the sound check I asked him when it might be convenient to do the interview. He said, "You're staying at this hotel, right? Well so am I, so I'll head over to your room straight after the concert". And – ten minutes after his last chord – he did!
